Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DoWhile Global LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use Menu Pal (the "App"). By using Menu Pal, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your display name or username
- Authentication credentials (stored securely — passwords are never stored in plain text)
- If you use Apple Sign‑In: your Apple ID identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address as provided by Apple
Content you create. Menu Pal stores the content you add to the App, including:
- Recipes (title, ingredients, steps, notes, source URLs, photos)
- Menus and meal plans
- Shopping lists and list items
- Recipe ratings and tags
- Circle memberships and shared content
Automatically collected information. When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- IP address
- Crash reports and error logs
- General usage patterns (e.g., features used, session duration)
Payment information. If you subscribe to Menu Pal Pro, payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from RevenueCat.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Sync your recipes, menus, and lists across your devices
- Enable the Circles feature to share content with users you invite
- Generate recipe images using AI (Google AI processes recipe metadata to produce images)
- Process and manage your Pro subscription
- Send you important account and service notifications
- Diagnose bugs and improve App performance using crash and error data
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal information to serve advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
Menu Pal relies on the following third-party services to function. Each processes certain data on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy policy:

4. Circles and Sharing
The Circles feature allows you to share recipes and menus with other users you invite. When you share content through a Circle:
- All members of that Circle can view the content you share
- Your display name is visible to other Circle members
- Content you have shared may remain visible to other members after you leave a Circle, until they delete it
You control what you share. We do not share your content with anyone outside of Circles you have explicitly joined or created.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: With the third-party services listed in Section 3, solely to provide the App's functionality
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
- Safety: When we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of DoWhile Global LLC, our users, or the public
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you and your data will remain subject to this Privacy Policy
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the App (Account Settings → Delete Account), your profile, recipes, menus, lists, and all associated content are permanently deleted from our systems. We may retain certain records for a limited period after deletion as required by law or for fraud prevention purposes.
If you prefer to request deletion by email rather than through the App, contact us at info@transactions.menupal.app and we will process your request within 30 days.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (or delete your account directly in the App)
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@transactions.menupal.app. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
California residents (CCPA). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to delete your personal information, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. 8. Children's Privacy
Menu Pal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@transactions.menupal.app and we will delete that information promptly.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, and access controls that limit who can access user data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your device secure.
We strongly advise against using Menu Pal on jailbroken or rooted devices, as this may compromise your data security.
10. Data Transfers
Menu Pal is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email, and we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Menu Pal after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
